Pasang: In the Shadow of Everest premiered in Vermont as an Official Selection of the 8th Annual Middlebury New Filmmaker Festival (2022) in Middlebury, Vermont, and went on to screen during the 2023 Vermont Tour.
WINNER! Pasang: In the Shadow of Everest won three awards at the 2022 Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in the following categories:
- Audience Award – Feature
- AICEF Prize for Cross-Culture Filmmaking
- Olio Visualizing History Prize for the Advancement of Women in Film
It’s been an amazing summer and as we head into a busy, bountiful fall with more news coming, we want take a moment and thank the incredible programmers, patrons, partners, volunteers and audiences who made the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival such an unforgettable experience for Nancy Svendsen and our team representing Pasang Movie! The energy and reception we found for this documentary and the story of one woman’s inspiring quest for the world’s tallest mountain will stay with us!
