In the audience were Hon. Mr. Dean R. Thompson, US ambassador to Nepal, CDO, government officials from the area, खुम्बु पासाङल्हामु गाउँपालिका Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality officials, Mr. Kancha Sherpa, the only member of 1953 expedition, Namche Mahila Samuha, Lodge and Hotel Association Namche Bazaar members, Namche Gumba Samiti, students and other distinguished guests.  The Pasang Lhamu Foundation would like to thank U.S. Embassy, Nepal, खुम्बु पासाङल्हामु गाउँपालिका Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality, and Shree Himalaya Basic School for making this possible!
April 23rd | 30th Anniversary – Honoring Pasang at Pasang Memorial Park, Chuchchepati, Nepal

This day marks the 30th anniversary of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa’s historic summit of Everest– a feat of great human courage and enormous resilience that would inspire a new generation of girls and women, indigenous people, aspiring mountaineers from all backgrounds– and change a nation.
